Hi, I’m Leah—reader, writer, dog mom, and lifelong lover of stories. Welcome to my little corner of the internet, where books and dogs are at the heart of everything. I started this blog as a creative outlet during a time when life felt uncertain, and it quickly became my favorite place to connect with others who also find joy in the turn of a page (and the occasional dog-eared corner). Passion

My passion for books runs deep—whether it's dog-eared fantasy paperbacks, tear-jerking contemporary fiction, or thrillers that keep me up way too late. I believe in the magic of storytelling and the comfort of a good book shared with others. Alongside my TBR pile are my two faithful reading buddies: Blue and Harley, aka Pork and Beans. They’re my constant companions, usually curled up at my side while I devour a new release or re-read an old favorite. When I’m not reading, I love exploring small towns, sipping strong coffee, and journaling under a sunbeam with a pup at my feet. Books have shaped the way I see the world—and this blog is my way of giving back to the stories that have stuck with me.

Goal

With Blue Dog Books, my goal is to create a welcoming and down-to-earth space for book lovers to gather, reflect, and discover something new. I want this blog to feel like a cozy bookstore with a sleepy dog in the window—charming, thoughtful, and full of heart. I hope to build a community that celebrates all kinds of stories and encourages meaningful conversations about books, faith, grief, healing, and joy.
